They’ve Done it Again…

Today Apple unveiled its newest creation, the iPad. We’ve seen tablet computers before, but definitely nothing like this. The iPad will redefine the way we think about content and the many forms of media with which it can be displayed.

Time will tell whether or not this device has the effect on media and publishing (see iBooks) that many people believe it will. But If you intend on sitting back and waiting to see if this evolution will have a real effect on computing, don’t. The iPad has already changed the game. The marketing, advertising and communications industries (just to name a few) will all need to adapt and take advantage of the huge possibilities that Apple has afforded them. The future is exiting and ripe with endless opportunity for those willing to seize the moment and capitalize on this new technology.
